Introduction
Sterilization technician training on the modalities for sterilization of reusable medical devices in CSSD’s including Steam and Low Temperature (Plasma/Hydrogen Peroxide) Sterilization.
Purpose
For the ongoing education of Sterilization, Technicians working in the Packing & Sterile Unloading area of Central Sterilising Departments. To enhance existing under-standing of Sterilising procedures and processes with specific focus on Steam Steriliser and Low Temperature Steriliser (Hydrogen Peroxide) purpose and function, sterilisation packaging and implications of improper packaging of instrumentation and the use of Reverse Osmosis water.
